Student Government Association (SGA) is an essential organization that helps determine the needs (and wants) of the student body and responds by organizing events, services, and initiatives. SGA uses a parliamentary process to vote on action items. Involvement in SGA is a great way to get to know peers, enhance your resume, and learn valuable leadership skills (i.e., running meetings, event planning, democratic processes, stakeholder and capacity building, professional communication, and fiscal management).
All Students are invited and encouraged to attend! If you want to be involved with SGA but do not want to be considered for an officer position, that is ok! Simply attend the meetings when the dates are posted. We need everyone on board to continue making RVCC the special place that it is.
